I'm December's Guest Muse!!!!

Hey everyone!! I am THRILLED to let you all know that my DEAR friend Mercy has asked me to be her guest muse for the month of December!! GO ME!! Here is this week's sketch.

This month's sponsor is Stamp Insanity, and they were kind enough to send us all a stamp set to work with. I used the super cute Henry's Snowman set. I paired it with some SU Wintergreen DSP and SU cardstock.

Since it's the first of the month, this month's sponsor, Stamp Insanity, is offering up a stamp set to the winner of this week's sketch challenge. The set is Morgan's Star, so be sure to add your name to the Mr. Linky box back at Mercy's blog to be entered to win.

Hi, It's Me......

Isn't that little saying so CUTE!!

Hey everyone, I am back with day three of the My Favorite Things teasers for this month!! Today the DT, and our special guests, are previewing the new sets being released in the SUPER CUTE new Pure Innocence line. I don't know about you, but I am LOVING these cutie pie little girls!!

I started by stamping my image from the Heart Stripes set on an MFT perfect panel. I then colored it in using my Copics. I paired it with my Sweet Always paper from SU, and my cardstock colors are Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie, and Gina K. White. The main image was cut out using my Cuttlebug and Circle Nesties. All my ribbons are from SU, as well as my brads.

Well, that is it for me now!! Be sure to check out Kim's Blog for links to all the other girl's with previews today!! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

Love Machine!!

I know most of you, if you are MFT Junkies like me, have seen this SUPER CUTE stamp before, but isn't it CA-UTEEEE!!! It was part of one of the MFT kits recently, and is now being released on Wednesday!!
For my card, I stamped the super cute robot on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored it in using my Copics. I then cut it and it's Basic Black layer out with my Cuttlebug and Oval Nesties. The rest of the card is pretty simple. My ribbon, except the red gingham, all were part of the Love Machine kit, as well as the brads. The DP is SU, and the red CS is Real Red from SU as well. I did a bunch of piercing, added one of my favorite spiral clips, and it was done.

Be sure to check out Kim's blog for links to the other DT members who have teasers today....there are different sets and new digi's being previewed today, so you won't want to miss it!!

Crazy 4 Challenges and a Teaser!!

Hey Everyone!! Long time no see!! I have been flying somewhat under the radar recently and I have missed posting and hearing from all of you, but life has been pretty hectic. Between work and the holidays, I just haven't had a chance to play as much as I would like.

Today I have a teaser for you using the soon to be released set from My Favorite Things, Love at First Sight. It was illustrated by Amanda Baird. I stamped my girl on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored her in with my Copics. It was then layered with Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette. My DP is from the Bella Rose pack. I used my PTI heart punches for my paper hearts, then I layered a Heidi Swapp ghost heart, then an SU button. I attached them all together using some white Stampin' Up taffeta ribbon. The other ribbons are from SU, as well as my brads. I did a little bit of piercing, and it was done. My card is also for this week's Crazy 4 Challenges post, to get punchy.
Be sure to head on over to Kim's Blog for links to all the other DT members that are posting teasers with this new set today!!
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

More Verve-y Sketches

I know I am such a slacker, but I STILL haven't shown all the cards I had made for the last Verve Stamps release. Here are two more of the cards that I made. The first card was made with the new O' Christmas Tree set.

I stamped the wreath with Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored it with my Copics. I stamped the bow again and cut it out and glued it on top to give it more dimension. I added a silver brad to the center of it. My sentiment was stamped and then punched out using my SU punches. I added a silver brad to it as well to make it look like it was hanging. The DP is from the Basic Grey Fruitcake line. I did a lot of piercing and added some SU ribbon. The sketch is an older Mojo Monday sketch.
My next card uses the new Christmas in the Air set. I stamped several of the trees on my MFT Perfect Panel and then again on different pieces of SU Wintergreen DSP. I then cut out the trees and paper pieced them. I then added some liquid applique under the trees and heated it to make it look like snow.

The image was layered with Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke. My ribbons and brads are from SU. The spiral clip is from Joanne's. My sketch was one of the release sketches....better REALLY late than never.
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Gift Ideas

Do you ever get really great gift ideas while out and about and then when it comes time to actually buy the gifts you have NO CLUE what to get?? Well, with my hectic new life, I don't really have time for that so I decided to make a notebook to carry around with me so if an idea strikes me, I won't lose it forever.

I started by taking a composition notebook I got from the Dollar Store for a $1. I then covered the front and back with DP from my DCWV Christmas stack. The binding was done with regular Real Red card stock from SU. My image was stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored with my Copics. The images are from the new Wrapped In Love set from MFT. I then cut it out using my oval nesties and layered it with Real Red and Green Galore. The ribbons are all from SU and the glitter dots came from Gina K..
Well, that is it for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Taylor's Sketch- Ho Ho Ho!!!

Hey everyone!! I am still stamping with my girls and LOVING it!! If you are on facebook, and we are friends, I am SURE you have noticed that we are having a BLAST, haha!! I have gotten a ton of stamping done and I am THRILLED! Its been a long time since I sat and stamped just for fun and it has been wonderful!
For my card today, I started by stamping my tree and penguin from the There She Goes Penguin Love set. They were stamped on an MFT Perfect Panel and then colored with my Copics. I stamped the bag separately and attached it after cutting out the main image and layers with Pam's Big Shot and Nesties. Then I added liquid applique to his beard, moustache, and to the ground. My DP is from the DCWV Christmas Stack. I paired it with Green Galore, Garden Green and Real Red. My ribbon is from My Favorite Things, except the white grosgrain which is SU. I used Taylor's sketch for my layout as well.
Well, that is all for me now!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Crazy 4 Challenges- Week 11

Hey everyone!! I am blogging from Pam Varnell's dining room and I am so stinking EXCITED!! I am having another stamping weekend with Jessica Diedrich, Pam Varnell, and Mercy Kerin......I'm one lucky girl!! We are at Pam's house in Georgia and are having a FABULOUS time!! My card today is for this week's Crazy 4 Challenges Acetate challenge. It is kinda hard to see mine, but you can see the glare-uggh. I just couldn't get a good picture of it.

So, for my card I started with an image from this month's sponsor, Kraftin Kimmie's Stamps. It's called Francesca and she is SO fun to color!! I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black on an MFT Perfect Panel. I then colored her with my Copics. My card base is Old Olive, and then I layered Real Red and some Summer Picnic DSP together. I used my nesties to cut out a window and then attached it OVER the image. My sentiment, from the Greeting Farm set Butterfly Wishes, was stamped on the acetate. I then added my silver brads and spiral clip with SU ribbon attached to it. I then attached it to the card base and added some white ribbon around the top of the card.
Well, that is it for me now!! Lots of stamping, eating and laughing to do!!

Blessed Christmas

So, I still haven't had a chance to show you all the cards I made as this month's Guest Diva for Verve. I have had time, just haven't had a chance to blog them....will my life EVER go back to normal??? Anywho, I made this card using one of the release sketches and the GORGEOUS new set, Blessed Christmas.
I started by stamping my image three times on an MFT Cream Perfect Panel. I then colored all of them with my Copics and cut them out in different layers so I could give the flower some depth. I stamped the bow separately as well and then added it after layering the flower. The base is Kiwi Kiss and I paired it with Ruby Red. I added a bunch of SU ribbons, some gold brads(which I NEVER use), a ton of piercing, and it was done. After it was all done, I went around the edges of the flower petals and added some gold to them using a gold glitter pen. You can't see it all that well in pictures, but I love the shimmer it gives it in real life.
Well, that is it for me now!! Have a great day!

November MFT Blog Hop!!

It's time for another blog hop with My Favorite Things, and I am LOVING this month's release as usual!! Today's hop started at Kim's blog, so if you haven't been there, go there to get started!! From there, you should have come from Amy's Blog where I am POSITIVE she has WOWed you with her creations!! I am actually the last stop on this month's hop, so I hope you have LOVED what you have seen so far! My bit of need to know info for this month is about the one click collection- the Pure Innocence collection contains all 5 new PI sets, you can find it here. The five other new release sets are part of a one click collection too, you can find it here.

My project for this month's hop is a wall hanging I made using the new Snow Day set from the Pure Innocence line. I am LOVING these cutie little images!! I stamped mine on am MFT perfect panel and colored it with my Copics. I then added the Liquid Applique to the snow and the fluffy parts of her outfit. The image was then layered with Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red and Chocolate Chip. The base of the wall hanging was a raw wood cutout that I got in the craft department at Walmart. I then painted it white with acrylic paint. After it dried, I added some Ski Slope DSP to the base and sanded the edges. The oval was cut out of more DSP with my Cuttlebug and Oval Nesties. All my ribbons are from SU, as well as the corduroy button. I did use some Heidi Swapp ghost snowflake shapes as well, and a spiral clip from Joanne's.
Well, that is it for me now!! Hope you had fun on the hop...now get shopping!!

For my card, I stamped my ice cube on an MFT Perfect Panel and then cut it out using my Cuttlebug and Oval Nesties. I then used a Copic to highlight and then added crystal effects to it. For the penguin, I stamped and colored it separately, then cut it out and added it to my ice. My DP is from SU, but it is retired. I paired it with Riding Hood Red and Old Olive. My ribbons are from SU, as well as the buttons, my clips came from Joanne's. I used Mercy's sketch for today for my layout as well.

Tree Trimming with Flopsey!!

Hey everyone, welcome to day two of the November new release teasers from My Favorite Things. Today we are featuring two sets, Gifty Girl(past kit set) and Tree Trimming Flopsey. Since you know how much I LOVE my Flopsey's, I decided to use him today!!

I started by stamping my tree, star and ornaments, along with Flopsey on an MFT Perfect Panel. I then colored them all with my Copics. I made a little mistake on my original stamped Flopsey, so instead of starting over, I just stamped a new one and cut it out..easy fix!! I then cut the main image panel out and layered it with Regal Rose, Real Red, and Wild Wasabi. My sketch was this week's SCS sketch. I added some SU ribbons around the card and on a spiral clip. I did my normal piercing, but not as much as I usually do, and added some silver brads. My sentiment was punched out with the Modern Label punch from SU.
After it was all put together, I added some Crystal Effects to the ornaments to make them shiny and 3D.
Well, that is it for me now!! Be sure to check out the rest of the design team's creations!! The members posting today are:
