Eating My Words....

Eating my words isn't really something I like to do, in fact, if you know me at all, I HATE it. So I say this with a heavy heart....this color combo doesn't suck.....there I said it. Okay, so I thought it would be horrendous, and in "theory", it was, but all put together...me likey!!! It makes for an AWESOME boy or masculine card..so that works for me. As soon as I saw this color combo, I knew I would be using this image, Look Out World, from Paper Pretties...it just SCREAMS little boy to me!! I started by stamping my image on Gina K white with Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored it in with my SU markers and then layered it with the challenge colors, Pumpkin Pie, Brilliant Blue, and Garden Green. The color panels were all run through my Cuttlebug with different folders: Spots and Dots(I think), Swirls, and Traffic Jam. I then added some large pewter eyelets and popped them up on my Gina K. white base. To finish it, I stamped my sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black and tied a piece of Pumpkin Pie striped ribbon around it. See, I told you, not bad at all!!
So, have you been to the Paper Clip yet?? Well, my SBFF, Jodi(kharmagirl), has been working her super talented tail off, and it is FABULOUS!! She posted her spotlight on shopping today, so go check it out and see what kind of deal she has cooked up for you!! Thanks for stopping by again!!

Anything is Possible...

with Cupcakes, LOL!! That is my version of "with enough caffeine/chocolate I could rule the world", whatcha think? I think it rocks too, LOL!! This card is for two challenges, Julee Tilman's Mojo Monday sketch (I just realized my clip is on the wrong side, so pretend with me, LOL) and the Looking For Love Release Challenges. If you don't already know, I LOVE release parties and celebrations...they are so fun, and at the end, I get to buy stamps and I LOVE that even more, LOL!! This week in the Verve Members Forum on SCS, they are having "Looking For Love Release Challenges". Day One's challenge was a color challenge to use Riding Hood Red, Blush Blossom and Kraft(or similar colors substituted). I chose my current favorite set, Cupcake Affair, and stamped it once on Gina K. white and once on some Kraft Patterns DSP. I then colored the top and flowers and paper pieced the cup. I added some Mark Richards pearls to the flowers and around the cupcake. It was then layered with Riding Hood Red, Blush Blossom, and Kraft. The DP is the same that I used on the cupcake. The sentiment is also from Verve and is part of their Here For You set. That is it for me now...I am off to tackle the HORRENDOUS color challenge(seriously Brilliant Blue-gag) over at SCS. I have a feeling this going to be an EMBRACING the white space kinda card, LOL!! Wish me luck!!
