TSG167-My Color Challenge

It is my week to be Trendsetter of the Week over at the There She Goes blog, and to start the week out, I have a challenge for you! It is a color challenge, and I have asked you to use Orange, Blue, and Green....easy peasy!! I'm not normally a lover of color challenges, but I wanted a boyish color combo so I could use this SUPER cute new guy!! I think it worked out well!!

My stamp is from the new Happy Trails set, and is now available at the There She Goes store! I stamped him twice on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored him completely on one, and just his hat on the other. I wanted his hat to look as if it was sitting on his head, so I wanted to layer it up just a bit. My cardstock colors are Orange Fizz, Blu Raspberry, Sour Apple and Sweet Tooth, all from My Favorite Things. I used grosgrain from MFT in all three colors, and the Simply Scalloped Medium Die-namics, as well. For my embellishments, besides the grosgrain, I used a Sweet Tooth button, some Caribbean Twine, Michael's brads, and a Creative Express spiral clip.

I also used this week's Retro Sketch.

You will be seeing bits and pieces of this card on Wednesday for my Wednesday Trends post, as well...care to guess what it is??

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!!

Crazy 4 Summer and KKS139

For the second week in a row, my Crazy 4 Challenges, and Kraftin' Kimmie challenge cards are exactly the same. The Crazy 4 Challenges challenge was to make a card depicting your favorite Summer activity, and to use bling, and at least one other embellishment. Kraftin' Kimmie's challenge is to make a card using a Summer theme with bright colors....I love when that happens!! LOL

For my card tonight, I used the Sea Jewels set, which is one of the Krafty Klubhouse sets. I stamped her on X-Press It Blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. She was then layered with Sno Cone(MFT), Sour Apple(MFT), and Candy Hearts(Bazzill). I used the MFT Sunshine Die-namics along with some YoYo Yellow(SU), Sweet Tooth(MFT), and Echo Park Sweet Summertime paper. My embellishments are Sour Apple Grosgrain(MFT), a heart stick pin, and some Mark Richards blingy glitter dots.

Well, that is it for me for now!!! Be sure to check out the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge(it will be posted at 7amEST) and the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge for your chance to play along.
