March Creative Challenge-Teacher Appreciation

***Scroll down just a bit for my Ribbon Carousel/Sweet Stamp Shop post***

This month's Creative Challenge from My Favorite Things is Teacher Appreciation!! Let's face it, they deserve it and MFT has LOTS of SUPER CUTE sets to help out!!

We are being featured on the SCS home page, so be sure to head to our SCS Forum for a look at every one's creations !!

When it comes to Teachers, I always think school supplies! Pencils, notebooks, erasers, pens, folders....FUN STUFF!! Not only is it stuff they need, but it puts a more personal touch on them when you decorate them!!

For my post tonight, I went all out...for me, that is! I don't usually get this involved in a project, but I really have a soft spot in my heart for teachers, and I was recently asked to donate to a teacher appreciation dinner, so I am getting a little jumpstart!!

My first project was a card for my special teacher. I used the à la mode set, You Rule. I stamped her on X-Press It blending card, and then colored her with my Copics. She was layered with Bubblegum, Rose Red(SU), and Ocean Mist(PTI). I used the Mini Rolled Rose Die-namics to embellish her a little, and added my sentiment with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics. For the back ground, I used some Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday paper, and the Notebook Edge Die-namics. My ribbon is from the Ribbon Carousel, and my brads are from Michael's.

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies, and a sentiment from the Clearly Sentimental About Teaching set.

I SWEAR I have seen something like this before, but I couldn't find it anywhere, so I made up my own template for my pencil box. It holds 12 pencils, which I banded together with tape, and then tied some Satin Edged White Grosgrain ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel around longways. I then connected that with some Blossom Twine. The box was made with the same card stock colors and paper as before, and I added some old SU buttons. I added some letters cut out with the By The Letters Die-namics...so FUN!

For the last part of my project, I altered a composition notebook. I used all the same supplies as before, along with another sentiment from the Clearly Sentimental About Teaching set.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:

Well, that is it for me for now, thanks for stopping by!!
